The Story of Opal
by Gale Fury Childs
Adapted from The Story of Opal – The Journal of an Understanding Heart by Opal Whiteley
Based on the childhood diary of naturalist Opal Whiteley, the play tells the magical story of a young girl in the Cascade woodlands in early twentieth century Oregon. Surrounded by singing creeks, talking trees, and invisible fairies, Opal’s story charms and educates.
