Clarence Brown Theatre

Parking

Patrons are encouraged to park in the McClung Tower Parking Garage located on Volunteer Boulevard (see map above) as it is reserved exclusively for your use during performances. A security guard will confirm you are attending the theatre. Once inside the garage, take the elevator to the 1st floor, walk straight ahead, exit the Humanities Building, and go up the stairs to the front door of the Clarence Brown Theatre.

Parking also may be available in Staff Lot 23 behind the theatre, although it is often very limited due to campus activities. Patrons parking in Staff Lot 23 will need their parking passes to avoid paying a $5.00 parking fee. If a major event is on campus the same time as a performance, service attendants will be stationed at each entrance to help direct you to available parking. Single-ticket buyers must pay a $5.00 fee to park in Staff Lot 23.

From I-40W

  • Take EXIT 387 toward 17TH ST/WESTERN AVE.
  • Merge onto AILOR AVE.
  • Turn RIGHT onto 17TH ST NW.
  • Turn LEFT onto CUMBERLAND AVE.
  • Turn RIGHT onto VOLUNTEER BLVD.
  • Turn RIGHT into the Upper Level (2nd Entrance) of the McClung Plaza Parking Garage

From I-40E

  • Take EXIT 387 toward 17TH ST/WESTERN AVE.
  • Merge onto DALE AVE.
  • Turn RIGHT onto 17TH ST NW.
  • Turn LEFT onto CUMBERLAND AVE.
  • Turn RIGHT onto VOLUNTEER BLVD.
  • Turn RIGHT into the Upper Level (2nd Entrance) of the McClung Plaza Parking Garage

From Alcoa Hwy

  • Take the NEYLAND DRIVE exit
  • Turn LEFT onto NEYLAND DRIVE.
  • Follow NEYLAND DRIVE to the
    LAKE LOUDON intersection
  • Turn LEFT onto LAKE LOUDON.
  • Turn RIGHT onto VOLUNTEER Blvd.
  • Turn LEFT into the Upper Level (1st Entrance) of the McClung Plaza Parking Garage

From Chapman Hwy

  • CHAPMAN HWY becomes HENLEY ST after the
    Tennessee River bridge
  • Turn LEFT onto W CUMBERLAND AVE.
  • Turn LEFT onto VOLUNTEER BLVD.
  • Turn RIGHT into the Upper Level (2nd Entrance) of the McClung Plaza Parking Garage

Directions to Staff Lot 23 Parking

From I-40W

  • Take EXIT 387 toward  17TH ST/WESTERN AVE.
  • Merge onto AILOR AVE.
  • Turn RIGHT onto 17TH ST.
  • 17TH ST becomes MELROSE PL after it crosses
    Cumberland Ave.
  • MELROSE PL will end into ANDY HOLT AVE. at the side of the CBT
  • Turn RIGHT onto ANDY HOLT AVE.
  • Turn immediately LEFT into Staff Lot 23

From I-40E

  • Take the EXIT 387 toward 17TH ST/WESTERN AVE.
  • Merge onto DALE AVE.
  • Turn RIGHT onto 17TH ST.
  • 17TH ST becomes MELROSE PL after it crosses
    Cumberland Ave.
  • MELROSE PL SW will end into ANDY HOLT AVE.
    at the side of the CB Theatre
  • Turn RIGHT onto ANDY HOLT AVE.
  • Turn immediately LEFT into Staff Lot 23

From Alcoa Hwy

  • Take the NEYLAND DRIVE exit.
  • Turn LEFT onto NEYLAND DRIVE.
  • Follow NEYLAND DR to the JOE JOHNSON DR intersection.
  • Turn LEFT onto JOE JOHNSON DR.
  • JOE JOHNSON DR becomes ANDY HOLT AVE.
  • Turn RIGHT into Staff Lot 23 - this lot is directly
    behind the CBT

From Chapman Hwy

  • CHAPMAN HWY becomes HENLEY ST across
    the Tennessee River bridge
  • Turn LEFT onto W CUMBERLAND AVE.
  • Turn LEFT onto VOLUNTEER BLVD.
  • Turn RIGHT onto PAT HEAD SUMMITT ST.
  • Turn RIGHT into Staff Lot 23 - the CBT is in the
    upper left hand corner
